The weather forecasted another long, hot week. She knew she’d need more to do since she had finished both a book and a puzzle the week before. She arrived at the library and as she pulled the door open, a wave of cold air conditioning wafted over her. She browsed the aisles and flipped books over to read their descriptions trying to decide what she wanted to read. She chose a thriller and a historical fiction novel. At home, she poured herself a glass of lemonade and curled up on the couch under the fan. She started the historical fiction piece she had chosen. She immediately fell into the world of train and bank robbers, cowboys, and boom towns. Her surroundings melted away with the heat of the day as she was enveloped in the story.
