She pulled a sundress over her bathing suit, and her hair into a loose bun. She drove along the river, past the spots most people parked. Even though she wasn’t a local, she’d lived there long enough to be privy to the quieter “locals only” beaches. She turned off the main road, to a dirt one, and parked her car in the small clearing created behind a grove of trees. From there, she walked to her favorite spot. There were hardly ever other people there, especially on weekdays. It was sunny most of the time, but also had trees that provided shade. After arranging her things, she took a dip in the cold water. She alternated between sun and shade, she read her book, and ate snacks. People talking and laughing cut through the natural sounds of the river. She looked upriver and saw a loud group of people on tubes coming towards her. She hoped they wouldn’t stop to talk. As they passed, one of the guys yelled out, “hey baby!”. Without hesitation, she stood with one hand on her hip and yelled back, “I’m not your baby! I’m nobody’s baby!”.

Each item is designed, printed, and hand sewn by Revolution Handmade. Hand sewn patches use traditional embroidery techniques in a modern way to preserve classic skills. As is the nature of handmade items, each patch will have its own individual and unique character.
